REV IT UP WORDS......LESSON #7

FASTIDIOUS:  Fastidious people are extremely neat and picky about details
AWRY:  If something goes awry, it fails to happen in the way it was planned
GINGERLY:  When you do something gingerly, you do it carefully because you are nervous about making a mistake or getting hurt
MALICIOUS:  A malicious person wants to hurt others or cause them pain
MOCK:  Someone who mocks you imitates you in order to make fun of you
FABRICATION:  A fabrication is something that is created, not natural
INHABIT:  If you inhabit a place, you live there
AFFIX:  When something is affixed, it is attached to something else
INCIPIENT:  Something that is incipient is just beginning to happen
MUTATE:  If something mutates, it changes into some new, usually strange, form

UNWIELDY:  Something that is unwieldy is hard to handle because of its awkward weight or size
REDOLENT:  If something is redolent of something else, it reminds you of that thing
TAUNT:  A person who taunts you annoys or teases you in order to be hurtful
MELLIFLUOUS:  Something that sounds mellifluous sounds pleasant and smooth 
IMPLICATION:  An implication is the unspoken meaning or message behind what you do or say
MEAGER:  When there is a meager amount of something, there is very little of it
EMBOLDEN:  If you feel emboldened by something, you suddenly have the confidence to act boldly and bravely
OBLITERATE:  When you obliterate something, you completely destroy it
EGREGIOUS:  An egregious act is shockingly bad
ABASHED:  If you are abashed, you feel ashamed and embarrassed

COMPENSATE:  when you try to compensate someone, you try to make up for something lost or stolen
DEVOTION:  Devotion is a deep love and admiration for someone or something
PRESUMPTUOUS:  If you are presumptuous, you decide that you have the right to do things that are none of your business
UTTER:  When you utter a word or sound, you say it
OBLIGE:  If you oblige someone, you do something for that person because you want to, not because you have to
REPROACH:  When you reproach someone, you criticize that person for doing something wrong
ABATE:  If something abates, it becomes less intense or widespread
PRUDENCE:  When you show prudence, you plan things carefully and wisely
ENAMORED:  When you are enamored with someone, you are fascinated by or in love with that person
CHAGRIN:  Chagrin is a feeling of embarrassment because you failed.

Supple...something that is supple is soft and bends easily
disregard....if you disregard something, you decide it is not worth paying attention to
gnarled....something that is gnarled is wrinkled and twisted, usually because it is old
wan....people who look wan look pale because they are weak or worn out
muse...when you muse about something, you think about it deeply
explicit....something that is explicit is explained so clearly that it can't possibly be misunderstood
nostalgic.....when you feel nostalgic, you remember a happier time in the past
somber......when you are somber, you feel sad and gloomy
​congregate.....when people congregate, they come together in a group
postulate....when you postulate something, you make an educated guess that it is true

1. Ascend:  Something that moves upward
2. Deteriorate:  If something deteriorates, its condition get worse and worse
3.Deplete:  When supplies deplete, they are used up and lessen
4.Innocuous:  Something that won't hurt you because it is harmless
5. Banal:  Something or someone that is so common it is boring
6.  Demure:  A demure person is quiet and shy
7.Formidable:  If someone or something is formidable, you feel threatened by its size or strength
8.  Immaculate:  Something that is immaculate is spotlessly clean
9.  Arduous:  An arduous task takes a lot of effort
10. Err:  If you err, you make a mistake
